Avon Celebrates Mother's Day

Share

May 14, 2023
Happy Mother's Day! Today (and every day), we celebrate mothers and mother figures all over the globe. To commemorate this special holiday, we asked some of the incredible moms at Avon to share beauty tips and secrets they've learned from their mothers and ones they've passed down to their own children. After all, mother always knows best.

What's a beauty secret that your mother passed down to you?
Wear SPF all day and every day. I did not listen.
What's a beauty secret that you passed down to your children?
Wear SPF, and it's never too early to start a skin care regimen.
What do you want to teach your kids about beauty?
Beauty comes from the inside. It's not about the brand or something you wear; it's how you feel about yourself.

What's a beauty secret that your mother passed down to you?
My mom taught me to always, always wash my face and remove any trace of makeup before going to bed. It is a necessary step no matter how exhausted I am or wherever we go, especially with long-haul flights or road trips.
What's a beauty secret that you passed down to your children?
Cleanse. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. Don't skip washing your face every night to make sure you sleep with a clean face.
What do you want to teach your kids about beauty?
Beauty needs maintenance. You need to put in the work, and sometimes you'll need a professional (dermatologist) to help preserve your skin's beauty. My daughter has eczema, and I've taught her to be mindful of her triggers and be very selective of the products that come into contact with her skin. Trust science-backed products that are tested safe for her super-sensitive skin.

Never leave the house without sunscreen on your face and neck area! It's the number one cause of aging. And, of course, ALWAYS AVON!! Love me my Avon skincare!
What do you want to teach your kids about beauty?
I've shared with them from the earliest age that beauty starts from within. Each of us has a diamond within, and it's up to us to cultivate and reveal the facets that make us shine!

What's a beauty secret that your mother passed down to you?
Apply coconut oil to your hair before washing, and thoroughly clean your face before going to bed.
What's a beauty secret that you passed down to your children?
I stressed to my son to clean his face before going to bed. This was crucial when he was a teenager, and he still maintains this routine today.
What do you want to teach your kids about beauty?
Beauty is what you feel inside rather than how you look on the outside.
