Introducing the Avon ‘Work It From Home’ Playlist

Introducing the Avon ‘Work It From Home’ Playlist

Music is a great way to set a mood—it can either help lift your mood or it can match a mood that’s less than ideal.

As we work in our home offices or pick up new hobbies during these stay-at-home times, music is one of the best ways to make each day more enjoyable. We made an eclectic playlist—with you in mind. Check out our fabulous Spotify mix, which includes everything from current pop and R&B hits to country songs to classic tunes.

Listen Now

“Work From Home” – Fifth Harmony

Though this song was released in 2016, it remains more relevant than ever today as many of us work from home. The pop and R&B tune will create some upbeat vibes to help you stay positive and productive while you work.

“9 to 5”— Dolly Parton

An oldie but goodie, this upbeat song is perfect to jam to in your home office. Though the lyrics speak to the challenges of 9-to-5 jobs, the song evokes a positive, tongue-in-cheek vibe.

“Break My Heart” and “Don’t Start Now” – Dua Lipa

We chose two songs from the buzzy British singer’s 2020 release, “Future Nostalgia.” Listen to these catchy pop tunes and you’ll see why they’re at the top of the charts.

“Golden” and “Adore You” – Harry Styles

Ever since Harry Styles went solo, he’s transitioned from boyband heartthrob to pop-rock creativeThese two hits come from the British artist’s latest album, “Fine Line,” which cites influences from Coldplay and David Bowie.

“Man! I Feel Like a Woman”— Shania Twain

This fun song has championed female empowerment for years, and it’s right in line with Avon’s mission to celebrate women’s abilities to make a positive impact. This tune can make you feel confident as you do your work and can even make cleaning the house more enjoyable.

“Come Together”— The Beatles

This classic Beatles song is about the need to unite. It’s an empowering song during these trying times, and as we face unprecedented challenges, ‘coming together’ is the ultimate message.

We all feel down sometimes, especially as we spend more and more time alone. We thought it was fitting to include a few uplifting songs with strong, relatable messages about mental health.

“Hard Times”— Paramore

In this electro-pop, 80s-inspired tune, frontwoman Hayley Williams sings about darker days with a decidedly upbeat tone.  Listen to this song for some positive vibes when you’re feeling down during today’s ‘hard times.’

“Antisocial (With Travis Scott)”— Ed Sheeran

As we social distance, it’s easy to feel antisocial. In this song, Sheeran sings about the benefits (and some drawbacks) of spending time alone, which many of us can relate to today.

The Avon Work It From Home playlist would not be complete without some classic dance tunes. Turn up the volume with iconic songs from Abba, Whitney Houston and Generation X and start moving. There’s no better time than the present to dance like no one’s watching.

“Dancing Queen”– Abba

Released in the 70s by the Swedish pop outfit, this instantly recognizable song gives a nod to the disco scene and is easy to dance to.

“I Wanna Dance With Somebody”— Whitney Houston

An 80s hit, this Grammy-winning song has been re-recorded by many artists, most recently remixed by Timbaland in March. This iconic song will put you in the mood to dance.

“Dancin’ With Myself“— Generation X

Billy Idol’s song about dancing alone helped epitomize 80s rock. Jam out to this classic—by yourself—as you stay home.
