First impressions matter, which is why Femme — Avon’s ultimate floral fragrance — can be found in a dazzling facetted bottled. But there’s much more to Avon Femme than what meets the eye.
Harry Fremont, who carries the title of Master Perfumer at Firmenich, one of the most venerated fragrance houses in the world (and Avon’s partner in creating this scent) helped bring this beauty to life. This a gentleman who’s won countless FIFI Awards (the fragrance industry’s highest honor) — and somehow always manages to find a way to encapsulate so many emotions in a single bottle.
Read on to hear the French-born Fremont’s musings on the unforgettable Avon Femme.
“I was inspired by a glimmering diamond. I wanted Avon Femme to be a luxurious facetted bouquet of sophistication just like the modern woman today. I was inspired by the trend that women want it all. I envisioned the many different layers of women, all of which want to be expressed. Fragrance is simply the desire to enhance what women already are.”
The Fragrance Notes
“When I am creating a fragrance, I will try to explore a different facet of ingredients that were used in those famous classics. In Avon Femme, I wanted to uncover a brighter, fresher aspect of Jasmine. So, I paired it with sparkling Pink Grapefruit and Luscious Pear top notes. This fragrance is so special because of the modern fluidity that leaves a lingering trail on skin.”
“Packaging is important. It is an extension of the story of the fragrance. The packaging should always evoke the spirit of the fragrance.”
“The Avon Femme woman is fascinating and alluring. She is the picture of modern glamour, and has a captivating personality that naturally commands attention. To her, fragrance is an extension of her style. She wears fragrances that are just as multi-dimensional and sophisticated as she is.”
