I am a 22-year-old Corporate Communications and Public Relations Director veteran. I'm also a graduate of the homeschooling world. I am from the "Sandwich Generation." I have a husband, two sons, and an elderly mother and father, and we all live in one big house. I have always had a love for Avon products. My mom comes from a family of 13, and for as long as I can remember, Avon has always been in the [bathrooms] of my female family members. Be it Skin So Soft Bath Oil, Night Musk or just face powder, I've been around it. When my family moved from California to Texas, my mom's Avon [Representative] in Texas was Mrs. Brazil. Every Sunday, she would deliver products to my mom. And, it seemed only natural that when I became an adult, I would have my very own Avon [Representative] as well. Her name was Ms. Betty, and she would visit me at my office and deliver my wonderful Avon products to me.
So when I decided to make changes in my life, it seemed only natural that I would choose a new career that I really wanted to do at the time: One that gave me the freedom to be my own boss, spend more time with my family, go on that cabin trip I always wanted to go on and live my best life. I've always said there is money and happiness in a career with Avon — I just never stepped out on faith from my corporate world. Well, now I have, and here I am planning my Avon work and working on my Avon plan while living my best life!

I started selling Avon because we needed extra money. I already had a full-time job, so I didn't want to go outside to work part-time. I found Avon's ad in the newspapers and called. [The ad] stated Work from Home, No Experience Needed, Be Your Own Boss — I was sold. Since then, my family has been tremendously helped financially.
I retired from a great career in 2021, and Avon is now my full-time business. I am forever grateful for this awesome opportunity. I [have been] really empowered and cannot wait to see what the future holds for my team and me.

I am a woman who's been through many things. I'm grateful that Avon has [provided] a positive and consistent flow of income, family, and support through it all. From helping take care of dance classes, countless gas fill-ups, groceries for my family, and even paying for household bills, my Avon business has helped provide the flexibility I needed to assist with providing for my family.
In addition to income, I've discovered how important the tools are that I've acquired over the years within the business for everyday life. Maintaining a working calendar system and networking with those I know and many that I don't: all these things have allowed me to flourish into a social butterfly that welcomes the unknown. This has been one of my greatest gifts that I've been able to share not just with my family and friends but also my customers, my team, and every person that I've been blessed to interact with, mostly because of this amazing opportunity that Avon has awarded to women, just like myself.

I've been working since I was 13. I'm 55 now, and I knew when I retired from teaching in 2016 that Avon was going to help me travel and enjoy life. I went to my first Repfest in Las Vegas, and the rest is history as they say. I've earned several all-expense paid trips with Avon (the Bahamas, Cruise to Bermuda, Los Cabos, and a trip for two to Hawaii). I've attended several conventions, and I love what I do. I also like to see my customers smile when they get their Avon orders. I've gained new friends through Avon and a great Avon family. I've met some amazing people through Avon. My upline, the account executives, and Avon Reps — [even those] that may not be on my team — have become close friends. We can collaborate together and hold each other accountable for our business plans and goals.

My husband and I have four grown children and seven grandchildren. My grandkids knew when Avon delivery day was, and after delivering, ice cream was on the way. Until 2019 I had only sold part-time. During that time, I earned my first Destination Avon trip. So now that I have been full-time, I have earned [trips to] Jamaica and Hawaii [as well]. My sister asked me to join Avon 21 years ago so she could earn a dining room table. At the time, she just needed one more person. I thought, "Yes, I can at least order for myself and my family because I cannot sell a thing." Little did I know I would fall in love with the products and the people and friends I have met. My sister is no longer with us, but for me, this is a way to help others that need that little extra.

I joined Avon shortly after the passing of my mother, an Avon Representative for almost 30 years. I wanted to continue getting the great products that I was using over the years.

I started selling Avon in high school to help pay for expenses in college, where I studied architecture. I love Avon products and was attracted to [the company's] commitment to women's empowerment and women's causes like breast cancer awareness. Over the years, the training the company provides to Representatives gave me the confidence I needed to step into leadership positions in college and later in my community as a postgraduate. The flexibility to create my own schedule allowed me to make money selling Avon on the side while in school, working part-time as an intern, and later working full-time as an architectural designer. It gave me the security to know that no matter what happened in my job, I could always fall back on the income from my Avon business.
I learned that lesson in 2009 during a recession, when I graduated from college, and although it was difficult to find a job in my career, I learned how to grow my "side hustle" to support me in the following months of job hunting. I was eventually able to use my income from my Avon business to pay off my student loans and credit card debt becoming debt free in 2016. Then I could use my income for the things I love, like gadgets, new tech, and travel. Well, I don't pay for my own travel that much anymore because with my Avon business, I've also earned some amazing vacations to beautiful destinations like Tahiti, Bermuda, the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica.

I joined Avon in 1994 per the advice of my grandmother, who said that I would be good at it. I honestly didn't believe that I would be good at "outside sales" nor that I would still be working at Avon almost 30 years later. After figuring out how to gain customers and build sales, I was attracted to the leadership opportunity. I was earning money and having so much fun being a sales representative. I knew that I could teach other people how to earn extra income, get their products at a discount and have fun too. It was exciting to earn recognition and awards, but it was even more exciting when my team members earned them as well. It makes me feel good to be able to empower others with Avon's earnings opportunity. I am also grateful for the opportunity to work towards completing my bachelor's degree in marketing with tuition discounts through Avon Perks. I am married to my sweet husband of 25 years, Louis. He enjoys the conventions and earned trips and knows firsthand how Avon has changed our life. He is my largest supporter and cheerleader.
