Whether your skin care routine is two steps or 10 steps, be sure to apply your products in the right order for maximum effectiveness.

PRO TIP: A good rule of thumb is to apply products in order of texture: thinnest to thickest, as thin products have a harder time penetrating thicker ones.

Here are all the steps to create your perfect skin care regimen.

cleanse

Skin accumulates oil and impurities throughout the day. Cleansing removes unwanted elements and prepares your skin to receive other products.

tone

A toner or essence has a lot of great benefits for your skin and acts as a 'primer' in your routine.

It helps skin absorb the active ingredients in the rest of your products more effectively, and simultaneously provides weightless hydration to help restore your skin’s natural moisture balance.

daily treatment

Targeted daily treatments—often called serums—are concentrated products that address a specific skin concern, such as fine lines and wrinkles.

PRO TIP: If applying multiple serums, begin with the thinnest formula and build up to the thickest.

moisturize

Moisturizers are the ultimate multi-taskers—they maintain or replenish precious moisture targeted to your skin's needs and often deliver anti-aging benefits. Follow with SPF during the day and use a richer, more nourishing formula at night.

eye cream

Designed for the delicate eye area, eye products help address specific needs like dark circles and lines/wrinkles.

PRO TIP: Use your fourth finger to gently tap product around your eye area. Why your fourth finger? It’s your weakest finger, so it won’t pull on the delicate skin around the eye.

lip

Condition your lips daily to keep them looking youthful, hydrated and perfectly prepped for other lip products.

weekly treatments

From exfoliating to masks, weekly treatments help keep your skin smooth, healthy and hydrated.

These are usually recommended for 1-3 times/week, but always check usage instructions before proceeding. Too much of a good thing can be too much!
